Potato

The players stand in a circle and hit the ball like in valleyball. If any of the participants does not hit the ball, then the person squats in the circle and gets the first letter of the word "potato". Others hit the ball among themselves and spike it (hit at a squatting person in the circle). If the players hit successfully at the person, then another player gets the letter of the word "potato" and the game is continued in the same way after every hit. If the person collects all the letters of the word "potato", then he/she is out of the game. The circle of squatting players includes everyone who missed a spiking ball or didn`t kick the ball which was directed to him/her. It means that this group of the players may contain more people.
The squatting people can "save" themselves if:

  1. catch the ball which was aimed at them (then the person, who incorrectly spiked the ball, enters the circle)
  2. catches the ball up in the air (then he/she has to get up from "squat")

The winner is the only one who will stay outside the group squatting and capturing successive letters of the word "potato".

There will be new, modernized versions of old games and backyard plays which sometimes will go beyond the literal interpretation. Traditional games will be an inspiration, "new games" more or less free interpretation.
